Greetings Dr. Bamba,

Please help me to understand a few things that are concerning me.

1. I do not know what language the documents you best me are in so I do not understand their contents. Could you please explain exactly what they say? What are the two pictures of in the medical examination document? What procedures and tests and tests did you perform and what is the billing amount for each test?

2. Does Cynthia have any medical insurance that will help cover the costs of her medical bills? I am making every effort to arrange payment for her bills. I am currently in contact with ICRMT (Ivory Coast Relief for Medical Treatment) which is a non-profit humanitarian aid organization and they are assisting me in trying to work out how to cover her medical bills as they state on their website: “ICRMT and its partner organizations are committed to providing assistance to those in need regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion or political affiliation.” I am in contact with Mr. xxxxxx, the Executive Director of ICRMT here in Washington. He needs all of the following information about Holy Cross Hospital; the address, website, and name and telephone number of the Chief Medical Director there. Mr. xxxxxx’s hope is that you will be his point of contact and requests your complete contact information so that he can get in touch with you so that this matter can be handled swiftly.

For my part, I will be making a sizable contribution to ICRMT which will be above and beyond that which is required to cover Miss Mamabou’s medical bills and in return they will pay the hospital directly through their organization. This will be a great opportunity for all parties involved as you, Holy Cross Hospital and ICRMT will be afforded the opportunity to become partners for the future in helping others like Cynthia who cannot pay for medical treatment.

I hope you are as excited about this as we are in that it is a great opportunity to help such a fine charitable organization as the Ivory Coast Relief for Medical Treatment organization and the the future needs of the people in meeting the financial burdens of medical costs in your country.

3. Also, I am confused as to why I would need to pay for medical bills accumulated at Holy Cross Hospital through Western Union and not directly to the hospital? Is this common in the Ivory Coast? Further, who is this person named Ernest Anene Obasi? Is he the Chief Medical Director there?

Please get back to me as soon as possible so that we can expedite this process. Please know that I a a man of my word and if Cynthia is healthy enough to be released please do so post haste and you can be assured that Mr. xxxxxx and I will make arrangements to get payment to Holy Cross Hospital at the earliest opportunity. This of course is predicated with you supplying us with the required information to make it possible.

I also want to sincerely thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.

Sir,

I called the bank today using the number I got from the BIAO website (http://www.biao.co.ci). I spoke to the Director General, Mr. xxxxxx xxxxxx at (225) 20-20-xx-xx and after a search of personnel records he informed me that they had never heard of you and you are not currently nor have you ever been an employee at BIAO-CI or any of its branches or affiliates.

It appears that you are perhaps trying to defraud both me and Miss Cynthia Mamadou and as her current legal guarding I feel responsible to protect both her well being and her assets.

Before I even entertain the idea of proceeding with this venture with you I demand a thorough and detailed explanation of what this discrepancy is all about.

I await your response,

My dearest Cynthia,

I only wish you had gotten to me sooner as it would have saved me much pain and heart ache. I have been calling you all day long at the numbers you provided and this would explain why there was no answer. I’ve only now just come in from a night of rebel rousing and binge drinking for I was certain that I failed you and certain demise had beset upon you. I see now that it was not as serious as I had thought. I hope you have a speedy recovery from that which ails you and plagues your supple flesh. If only I were there to see you through it with mine own two hands, deftly rubbing your sickness away into a fading memory of times long past.

Let me assure you that I am working as quickly as I can with the bank to expedite and hasten the transfer of your funds so that you can be here with me forever. In my earlier email to the bank I forgot to include a copy of my Drivers License, but I rectified that today. I am certain that the bank now has everything they need in order to make the transfer. I found the banks website online ( http://www.biao.co.ci/ ) today and will call and speak to the manager regarding these matters first thing in the morning.

If you can give me the name of the Hospital and the Doctor to whom your wellbeing has been placed, I shall call and make arrangements regarding the payment of your bill and make sure that you are further treated in a manner befitting the stature you hold in my life. I am certain that before long they will be treating you like a queen.

Oh my sweet Cynthia, know this and believe that I have made it my life goal to see you through this horrific tragedy so that you my one day soon live the life that you so richly deserve. If I accomplish only this one thing in the rest of my existence on this mortal coil, I will die satisfied. I would argue though that it is not your life in my hands but on the contrary, it is my life in your hands as you have now become my whole reason for existence and that I now realize that it is for this one solidified purpose that I was meant to be here and we came into contact.

Please trust that I am doing all in my power to see this through.

With baited breath and a massive and pulsing expectation that lifts my mast, I await to hear from you again and to receive the pictures which you will send in your next reply.

Get well soon,
Your Captain!

Greetings

I am very sorry for responding late to your email, i have been in the hospital for the past tow day, i had a very serious fever and cold which i couln’t stand, so i have to go to the hospital and on getting to the hospital, the doctor said they will admit me that they need to make sure they cure it once and look after me since i have nobody at home to take care of me.

My captain as i am writing you now, i am still in the hospital, i know you will be worried for haven’t heard from me for a while, that was why i pleaded the doctor so that he will allow me to use his laptop, but i will make sure i contact you everyday, i know the doctor will always allow me to do that.

My Captain please what i want you to do for me is to make sure you hurry the bank so that the transfer can finish soon then you can send some fund to me here to pay for the hospital bill and to buy some food because right now i don’t have any money with me and the bank cannot give me any money untill the transfer is completed to your account. so i have to remain here in the hospital untill the transfer is completed to your account and you send me some fund to pay my bill and food then i can go home and get my passport and my visa and start coming to meet you in the state immidaitly.

My captain please know that i count on you now, my life and hope depends on you to survive please do not let me down.

I will cheak back in the next 30 minutes to know if you respond so that i will respond back to you.

Also, please send the photos I requested. I hope I don’t sound desperate, but you are the first woman I have felt this way about since my wife, Tannille, passed on. I am simply a wreck as I bide my time until you arrive here with me. Oh, you are so beautiful and precious. If only I could come on you in Sierra Leone, I would be so relieved. So, again I beg of you to help me out, send the photos I have requested in my last email as soon as possible for I yearn to see more of you.

Please, could you send more pictures of you. Perhaps some of you at the beach or in a bikini or lingerie. Something really racy would do well. I am very lonely and miss the intimate times I spent with my wife. I was hoping that when you come to the states, that perhaps our ordeal could become something more than a professional relationship. Please, I beg of you to send more photos as I long with a deep yearning and burning desire to see more of you.

How hope my words of this email greet you in good spirits and great hope. I wanted to apologize deeply for missing your calls, as I long to speak with you personally, however as is often the case, when I am at sea it is difficult to get any connection to cell service. Further, I tried numerous time to call you at the number you gave me, but got a busy signal every time. I am wondering if perhaps you did not mistakenly give me the wrong number. I am not scheduled to leave port again until Monday at 4:00 pm PST, so if you would like to try and call again that would be wonderful. Meanwhile, I will continue to try and contact you at the number you gave me. Again I long with great desire to speak with you. I could hear the pain that consumes you in your voice on the message you left, yet I could detect that there was a love that to bleed forth from that pain.

Also, to inform you, I have contacted Rev Dr.Idris Kone as you instructed and await her reply and direction on how to proceed.

Please, be well, and keep your hopes high my sweet. I will see you through the troubled times, and soon we can be together here in the states where you wildest fantasies will come true.

Also, one more slight request. I was hoping you could address all further correspondences to me as: Oh Captain! My Captain! This may seem odd but this is how my late wife would address me. In the short time that I have known you, I sense a similar feeling toward you. I don’t know if you believe in reincarnation but it is as if she has come back to me in you. I would be very pleased and it would warm me so if you too would call me: Oh Captain! My Captain!

Good day to you, Cynthia

I hope this email greets you on a most pleasant and wonderful day and you can endure for just a little bit longer and turn away the endless trains of your faceless woes.

Be ye assured my dear that it is far beyond me to betray one in distress. As the Captain’s Creed to which I have sworn states: if a vessel is shipwrecked, you are to remain with those in need until another vessel can be procured for them to return them to the mainland in safety. I will admit that though we are not at sea, you are indeed a shipwrecked vessel of sorts, in need of my assistance to help you return to safety and as such, it is beyond me to abandon you to the wiles of nature and the unpredictable course of come what may, nor can I leave you in your moment of need, your hour of distress, clutched deep in the jowls of danger.

And so it is with this in mind that I feel I must take you under my wing to protect to you from the savage predators that roam the halls of this ghastly thing we call the internet. It concerns me greatly that only after one communication with me you have sent me a copy of your National ID card, thus exposing yourself to many an untold danger. If I were not an honest man, I could use the information contained on that card for a variety of nefarious activities, the least of which to find out where you live. It is fortunate for you though that I am not such a cretin who preys on the naive and innocent who are oft to be found on the internet and that I am the Captain of the sea vessel “Orca”.

I would ask that in the future you would be a bit more careful with transmitting such sensitive information over the internet. I fear that if you are this reckless at this point that it may jeopardize our ability to see this transaction through to its end. Though I certainly can understand you urgent desire to see this situation through, I beg you to please be more careful in the future, you are far to young and beautiful to be putting yourself at such risks.

With that said, I was hoping that you could please fill me in a bit more on the circumstances that lead you to be in the situation that you currently are and if you could please give me more details on how this transaction is to be executed. Admittedly, this will help put my mind at ease as I eagerly want to help you get your life back together and see that you get what is yours.

I am attaching several photos. One is of a recent fishing trip with me and my two friends, Martin and Matt. I am the one on the upper right commanding control of the vessel, which of course makes sense since I am the Captain. The other is of me taken during a most wonderful sunset on Lamu Island. I share these personal photos with you in hopes that you will see and believe that I am sincere in my desires to assist you in this endeavor. If you are willing I would very much appreciate a few less official photographs of you also.

Please, get back to me as soon as possible with more information so we can start you onto the ever so important and much deserved road to recovery. I apologize if I come across as a bit distrusting, but I am sure that you will agree with me that in this day and age one can never be to careful.

With great anticipation I await your response.

Sincerely,
Captain xxxx xxxx
