My dearest Cynthia,
I only wish you had gotten to me sooner as it would have saved me much pain and heart ache. I have been calling you all day long at the numbers you provided and this would explain why there was no answer. I’ve only now just come in from a night of rebel rousing and binge drinking for I was certain that I failed you and certain demise had beset upon you. I see now that it was not as serious as I had thought. I hope you have a speedy recovery from that which ails you and plagues your supple flesh. If only I were there to see you through it with mine own two hands, deftly rubbing your sickness away into a fading memory of times long past.
Let me assure you that I am working as quickly as I can with the bank to expedite and hasten the transfer of your funds so that you can be here with me forever. In my earlier email to the bank I forgot to include a copy of my Drivers License, but I rectified that today. I am certain that the bank now has everything they need in order to make the transfer. I found the banks website online ( http://www.biao.co.ci/ ) today and will call and speak to the manager regarding these matters first thing in the morning.
If you can give me the name of the Hospital and the Doctor to whom your wellbeing has been placed, I shall call and make arrangements regarding the payment of your bill and make sure that you are further treated in a manner befitting the stature you hold in my life. I am certain that before long they will be treating you like a queen.
Oh my sweet Cynthia, know this and believe that I have made it my life goal to see you through this horrific tragedy so that you my one day soon live the life that you so richly deserve. If I accomplish only this one thing in the rest of my existence on this mortal coil, I will die satisfied. I would argue though that it is not your life in my hands but on the contrary, it is my life in your hands as you have now become my whole reason for existence and that I now realize that it is for this one solidified purpose that I was meant to be here and we came into contact.
Please trust that I am doing all in my power to see this through.
With baited breath and a massive and pulsing expectation that lifts my mast, I await to hear from you again and to receive the pictures which you will send in your next reply.
Get well soon,
Your Captain!
